Overview

RSL AT70 is a 2025 flagship-tier racket from RSL — list price around 1,599 RMB but street price near three bills. It went viral after Xu Shuo used it at the 2025 Lin Dan Cup among influencer fields. Bloggers call it RSL’s first “high-end” racket; the brand has sold rackets for over a decade (X7, 4900, etc.) even if names blur.

Design

Platinum-silver between light grey and silver; gradient lightning decals and laser etching on shaft and frame — flashy but not loud. Lightning motif reads closer to Li-Ning AxForce 90 New than AxForce 100 clone. Case padding is absurdly thick — overbuilt in a good way; material choices feel less “surgical margin trimming” than the big three.

Build and measured setup

6.2 mm solid-feel shaft, Toray 46T carbon (likely foam-filled rather than pure carbon roll — otherwise price would jump). 30T frame, small concentrated head, full grooves, 76 holes, foam core, long handle, fish-mouth cap. Only 4U G6 — too slim for me, so cap removed, shock film, towel grip. Strung RSL BG-66 25/27 lb — playing weight 96.1 g, balance 300 mm. Stock strung balance neared 320 mm with shock film — very head-heavy; thick towel grip still left 300 mm.

Feel and performance

Shaft is hard — not Astrox 100ZZ stiff but not far off. Entry difficulty between Astrox 100ZZ and Astrox 100 Tour by my yardstick (I play 100 Tour regularly). Fast shaft recovery, high torsion integrity, precise direction, strong concentration — slice and drop success higher than Astrox 100 series for me. Higher balance hurts chain speed versus Astrox 100 line. Hard shaft, small head, high swing weight — singles smash power is excellent; doubles is a grind (4U 100 Tour doubles fine; AT70 feels closer to 100ZZ load).

Verdict

High overall quality, high skill demand — strong singles weapon at ~three-bill pricing if you want a non-big-three experiment. No official English product page verified here; treat specs as I measurements until RSL publishes global data.
