Setup
Both 4U, freshly strung with overgrip for the session (Dragon Max first string; 100ZZ already broken in). N61 used for the head-to-head feel check alongside other club shuttles.
First feel
Neither 4U feels crushing if you usually play 3U. Mild head weight on both; Dragon Max slightly heavier in the head. Indoor tap tests: crisp on both; Dragon Max a touch clearer.
Clears, net, smash
Equal effort clears and drives: Dragon Max carries a bit more pace and depth; hard-elastic shaft feel is strong. Face + shaft stability trades blows with 100ZZ. Net touch and soft control are good on both; mid-court push slightly favours Dragon Max, very tight net push slightly favours 100ZZ. Rear smash absolute power is not huge on these 4U blanks for average explosion — spot kills beat pure violence. Drops point well on both.
Buy notes
4U Dragon Max and 4U 100ZZ both mix attack with continuity more than their 3U hammer siblings. Dragon Max if you want Li-Ning hard-elastic carry and slightly stronger mid push on this string. 100ZZ if you already live in Yonex attack and prefer its familiar pocket. For max smash ceiling, step to 3U on either line.
