Positioning

AxForce 70 inherits some of 90 Max’s firm hit, cleans up 80’s softer control feel, undercuts both on price, and still has taxes. Wolf paint versus Dragon / Tiger totems. 70 sample: 4U G5, empty / play balance ~298 mm — not loudly head-heavy, but solid in hand.

Hardness and control

70’s bed hardness tracks Tiger Max closely — harder straight hit than 80, clearer pointing than 80. Off-centre vibration is the obvious gap versus 80 and 90 Max; the soft-fast shaft recovery offsets some of that sting. Hold is weak like the attack line; contact time is short — near Tiger, still a step under Dragon Max’s hard-straight extreme.

Attack and defence

Continuous smash on 70: frame hardness into shaft spring — quick resilient rebound, not 80’s heavy pendulum. Precision and chain comfort beat pure violence. Attack ceiling ≈ Tiger Max, below Dragon Max; heavy-smash punch loses to 80. Defence: larger bed than 90 Max helps forgiveness, but hard face weakens off-centre rebound versus 80; long shaft / short handle (~207 mm shaft class) is less friendly for panic escapes than some peers. Shaft borrow on blocks is 70’s best defensive card.

Buy notes

70 if you want Tiger-like firmness with lower entry and better price, accepting off-centre buzz and less peak smash than 80/Dragon. 80 for heavy smash swing and softer overall manners. Dragon Max for max hard-straight flagship attack if you can drive 6.2 mm. Tiger Max as the nearer sibling to 70’s face character.
