Overview
Kumpoo Silver Blade is the summer shoe I wanted to test — dial closure instead of laces, silver upper, high spec, strong value. Quick on-off, tight wrap, and vents everywhere.
Build
Standard last; PU + TPU + mesh upper; rubber outsole; Leopard midsole foam + TPU + 3D carbon plate; serrated traction rubber; silver colourway. Reflective strips on sides and tongue; oversized toe and vamp perforations; dial at the side — faster than laces and easier to fine-tune pressure.
Upper and footbed
Mesh dominates — tongue and forefoot are mostly holes. Summer sessions stay breathable; PU wings still stabilise cuts. Abrasion zones are thickened in matching silver so reinforcements do not look bolted on. Pull the insole and the vent pattern is deeper than most brands I have opened — surprising for this price. Dial gives stepless wrap adjustment.
Sole and cushion
Serrated rubber outsole with a stiff midfoot bridge — TPU plus 3D carbon; I cannot flex it by hand. Leopard supercritical ETPU feels springy standing still — at 130 lb landings absorb well and rebound comfortably. Very heavy players may compress the foam faster over time.
On court
Static fit: standard last, comfortable vamp, not wide-foot paradise but not cramped; stiff heel cup locks the back. Start is quick for the weight class — not ultralight race weight, but never sluggish in three–four days of play. Grip held on indoor courts throughout.
Sizing
True to stated length — 250 mm foot, size 40 with 255 mm insole fits.
Verdict
Hot-climate players who want dial convenience, serious ventilation, and solid cushion/torsion without flagship pricing — Silver Blade is an easy recommend. Lace up once and forget until you leave the hall.
