Overview
RSL Tourney L7 is a custom SKU, not the Classic Tourney you already know from the catalogue. Full-round teal / cormorant duck feathers through the tube; coils and glue complete; feather colour and thickness consistent — QC looks serious. Tip is still the digital-series composite (cork reserved for U / C / S grades). On paper it sits near Asia 3 / 4, not Asia 7 — which matches the grade I usually buy. Emerald packaging and the “L7” name stick in the memory.
Flight
Jiangsu / Zhejiang 77 speed expected; felt slightly fast — doubles gets spicier. Full-round tracking is excellent; warm-up baseline arcs look repeatable enough to overlap in slow motion. End deceleration is linear — easy to read the landing. Contact is relatively crisp, not heavy-muffled.
Durability and price
Men’s doubles often finished under one tube per game. Some broken and exploded feathers; not much chop damage that day, so the feathers read a bit brittle. Most leave a “whole corpse”; tip-up explode sits around Asia 3 — decent score for the money. Multi-buy discounts can push bulk toward about ¥1+ per tube before hype arrives. That price forced me to buy my own feathers again after more than a year of freeloading.
Verdict
Value so high that recent naturals feel impotent by comparison. Custom shape and naming — someone else’s mould — and a tube that punches above its label. Buy before the secret dies.
