Overview
Just ran RSL Classic; now RSL Supreme — same small supplier who handed me Classic. One tube in, I bought the rest from him. People call Supreme a vertical upgrade over Classic. Classic was already high — I did not think consumer feathers had much room left. RSL still found it.
Packaging and feathers
Refined pack — black base, gold label, memorable, fits high-end identity, clear split from the number series (Classic played safer). S and U use premium goose; S uses goose knife feather. First RSL tube I have seen without mixed duck — highest consistency I have handled from the brand: full clean vanes, even colour, no stain, thick stem, thick vane, full glue.
Flight and feel
Supreme flight and feel step up again. Speed steady; tail deceleration linear — arc high enough and you stay in court. Keeps premium goose crispness — reminded me of January K+90 — pleasant feedback, easier to hit solid.
Durability
Best durability among RSL I have touched. Medium private doubles: one shuttle ~30 minutes — post-session count shocked me. Unlike some high grades that only explode-not-break, Supreme does lose vanes; one missing feather hurts flight badly. Stay away from feather abusers.
Value and cork note
Proves better shuttle, less money spent. Natural feather prices spiking; Supreme pricing stayed relatively stable — enters my daily stock. Strong praise even after sample sat over a year before opening. Some still knock RSL cork at this tier — not full soft cork, composite though decent. May touch cork life and feel; usually feathers die first — tolerance fair.
